Such as
Type of construction, masonry or wood on a stem wall or monolithic slab (and explain the
differences) (We do concrete block construction)
What will be the insulation R- Value of your new home?
Will it have radiant barrier or Q cell
Will your new home have storm shutters or hurricane impact resistant glass?
Will your roof sheathing be plywood or particle board?
What type of shingle is used?
Where are your windows and doors manufactured?
Is felt paper or Moisture Guard Plus used as a secondary water barrier- (FYI:
Homeowners insurance will be less expensive with peel and stick)
Will your cabinetry be wood or Formica?
Will your counter tops be Granite, Corian, or Formica
Will you be able to request items such a corner lazy Susan, pull out pot drawers, etc?
Will a complete appliance package be included? What brand are they? Can you substitute
brand? Can you purchase your own appliances?
Are light fixtures included as per model home display or do you receive an allowance? Is
the allowance enough to pur-chase light fixtures as shown in the model home?
Is the flooring included as per model home display? Can you change flooring? Will you
receive a quote for the change prior to having to commit to it?
Will you be able to request custom interior framing and is it included if shown in a model
home?
Is glass block or fixed glass for showers included as per model home?
Are the sinks, faucets, and commodes included as shown in a model home? And can you
choose different fixtures?
These are important questions.
